Stephen Moyer: “I’m a bacon and eggs boy!”
Posted by: | Comments
In an exclusive interview with Yahoo! OMG, actor Stephen Moyer who plays Bill Compton on the hit HBO series True Blood gives us the inside scoop on what’s been happening in his life lately – aside from filming Season 5 of the vampire TV show.
As all Truebies know, Moyer is married to Anna Paquin, his co-star who play’s Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood, and the happy couple are expecting their first child together later this year. Moyer, who has two children from previous relationships, is nonetheless excited about his next child – and not in the least bit nervous about his impending fatherhood. “I love it,” says the affable British-born actor.
Moyer shares that while he and Paquin work on the same show, they don’t really talk about work when they’re home, saying that their daily conversation would sound something like, “Hello darling, how was work?”, and the response would be “Fine. Thank you. What do you want for dinner?” Moyer adds that most recently, he and Paquin have been talking about his 13-year-old arthritic dog, who he says is “an angry old man”, and will only do anything if he’s tempted with a “big pile of meat”.
When quizzed about his own eating habits, Moyer says, “I’m a bacon and eggs boy”, and that once he found out that he wouldn’t have too many sex scenes in Season 5, he “went straight back to the chocolate croissants”. Fortunately for fans, there still are scenes where Bill has his shirt off… but that means for Moyer having to get up at four in the morning to get in a run at the beach everyday before starting work. Moyer jokes that he only starts to eat lots of fruit before there’s a scene where he has to strip down, adding that if anyone sees him eating fruit for breakfast, they’ll know that he’s just a few days from having to take his shirt off on set.
The latest news is that True Blood has just been renewed for Season 6, so Moyer will likely have to be eating more fruit and doing a lot more running since one of the big draws are the sex scenes! Read the full interview with Moyer on Yahoo! OMG.
True Blood Season 5: Single Sookie, Alpha Alcide?
Posted by: | CommentsAlthough the next season of True Blood won’t make an appearance on our television screens until Summer this year, the cast and crew have slowly been revealing little tidbits about what’s going to happen in Season 5. As always, there’s plenty of speculation about Sookie’s love-life. When we left Sookie at the end of Season 4, she had declared herself single, and sworn off Eric and Bill… and it doesn’t look like she’s going to be spending a lot of time with the two vampires either!
In an interview with TV Guide, Alexander Skarsgard, who plays the scrumptious Eric, reveals that Sookie’s “feelings are still there for both Eric and Bill… the attraction is still there, but they’re preoccupied, and so is she.” So it looks like we won’t be seeing Eric and Bill getting it on with Sookie. Instead, the two, who used to perpetually be at each other’s throats, are more likely to spend time working closely with each other in Season 5, as they try and deal with the fallout from killing Nan Flanagan in the Season 4 finale. Plus of course, it looks like Russell Edgington’s baaack (in one form or another), and Eric and Bill will have to deal with that too!
In the meantime, another hunky male in True Blood is going to be showing his alpha chops a lot more. Joe Manganiello declared that his character Alcide won’t be “taking anyone’s s**t anymore… Now you’re going to see an Alcide who’s going to slam you up against the wall and do his thing.” Oooh, I love a forceful alpha male. What’s more, Alcide may be using some of that forcefulness on Sookie herself. Manganiello teased that there’ll be many scenes and run-ins between Sookie and Alcide that “make you really nervous”.
For those of us who watch True Blood for the… hmmm… scenery, then you’ll also be pleased to know that Manganiello revealed that Season 5 will be just as risqué as before, with lots of “hot-chick werewolves and badass dudes” to keep you entertained. Hmmmm… nice!
True Blood Season 5 will be back on HBO in Summer 2012.
True Blood Season 4 Ep 8: Spellbound

The latest episode of True Blood starts out with Jessica opening the doors and making her way out into the sun. But, just as she starts to burn, Jason runs in at the last second and saves her. They start to passionately kiss on the floor.
It’s nighttime and Sookie is taking the silver off Eric. He tells her to yank it off quickly which makes him scream. He needs to feed and she trusts him not to lose control of his vampire instincts as she pulls him up to her neck. He pulls away and wants her to drink from him saying “we will be one” and that is what she does.
Jessica shows up back at the house and Hoyt is ready to start fresh but Jessica tells him she wants to move out. Hoyt starts to cry and says that if you don’t love me, then I will die. To which she responds, then die! And she slams his head off the counter. She leaves to see Jason our front and they are about to have bloody, hot vampire sex in the front of his truck when a voice wakes her up and we find out she was just dreaming.
Sookie and Eric are naked again. They are pretty much naked this whole season. They are rubbing all over each other in the shower when it starts to snow. He pushes the shower curtain aside and there’s a bed in the middle of the woods. They start to have sex in this weird bed out in the woods with it snowing on them. Bizarre.
Antonia is freaking out that her powerful spell only killed one vampire. Bill calls the emporium to speak with her. He apologizes for what was done to her 400 years ago and requests a meeting – he is quite the smooth talker. They agree to meet at the Bon Temps cemetery at midnight.
Mrs. Fortenberry meets with the gas company representative at Merlotte’s. She’s acting strange – ordering beer, cussing like a sailor, messed up hair – what’s going on? Both Arlene and the company guy look taken aback. She’s bargaining but finally has to settle for a $5,700 check. Later, Tommy is stumbling down a path in Mrs. Fortenberry’s clothes with makeup on his face and he collapses to the ground, throwing up. That explains her odd behavior…
Jessica comes home for real this time and she tells Hoyt that she wants to split up because she’s not meant to be in a monogamous relationship. He says he knows there is someone else. Then he goes off and pushes all the buttons – he deserves better than her (a vampire who’s a virgin forever), he deserves kids, and he deserves a partner with whom he can go out in the daylight. She’s is crushed – this isn’t like her dream. He’s a real person with real feelings and he is hurt and pissed at her betrayal. He rescinds her invitation and she’s pulled out of the house to lie on the porch crying.
Marcus, the pack leader, is Luna’s ex. He doesn’t look quite so skeazy now, he’s seems to be a mature, rational guy who’s running a strong pack and he tells all of them to stay out of the vampire/witch conflict. Debbie tells Alcide that he needs to stay away from Sookie – where Sookie is, vampires are…
Lafayette is napping and he starts to dream about the ghost. He finds out that she lost her baby after the white man who fathered it killed it decades ago to protect his reputation. Lafayette is startled awake and he sees her ghost. She rushes forward and possesses him and she makes her way over to kidnap baby Mikey.
Sookie and Eric have come to see Bill and pledge their loyalty and their willingness to fight the witches on behalf of the vampires. Bill does not want Sookie in any danger but she is adamant and he finally accepts their aid.
Luna, her daughter Emma, and Sam are eating dinner when Marcus stops by in a jealous huff. He’s unhappy that Luna is entertaining a man in her house. Sam and Marcus eye-ball each other, we’ll be seeing more of these two.
Jessica goes to Jason’s house, telling him that she broke up with Hoyt. Jason defends Hoyt – he can’t believe she broke his heart. He rescinds her invitation and for the second time that night, she is pulled through a door and out of a house. Jason is so conflicted that he starts doing pushups.
Bill meets Antonia in the graveyard at midnight. Sookie, Eric and Pam are with him. Antonia comes with her witches including Tara. One of them is holding a silver tray to fight the vampires – I love it. They start to fight and Antonia takes on Eric, making him fall to his knees in front of her – it looks Eric has become her pet. Sookie gets shot and collapses onto the ground. Alcide arrives and picks her up as Debbie watches them. No reason to be jealous, huh?
True Blood Season 4 Ep 5: I Hate You, I Love You

Episode 5 of True Blood starts this week off with Joe Lee kicking the crap out of Tommy until he ends up choking him into unconsciousness. Although it appears that Tommy was faking it when he suddenly comes back to life and attacks Joe Lee, killing him. His Mom tries to stop him and he hits her across the face, killing her too. Looks like Tommy’s an orphan as the opening scene ends with Tommy rocking his Mom’s body, crying “Mama” over and over.
Marnie damaged Pam last week during the ceremony to try and restore Eric and Lafayette is angry – he says she’s pissed off yet another vampire – instead of saving them from Eric’s vengance. They leave Marnie alone in the field as they all try to get away.
“Baby Not Yours” was written on the wall by baby Mikey last week and Arlene is sure Renee’s ghost is coming back to take his son. Terry decides they need to invite the reverend to their house to cleanse it.
Eric sneaks up to Sookie’s room in the night while she is sleeping. He’s stopped by a hand on his shoulder, it’s Godric and he wants Eric to drink Sookie with him and they will walk in the sun together. Eric fights his vampire nature – he says Sookie redeemed him and he can’t do it but Godric forces him to and they both pounce on Sookie as she screams. But, it’s a dream and Eric wakes up in the cubby, fangs extended. This time he really does get up and make his way up to Sookie’s room. She wakes up and he tells her he had a bad dream.
Portia is not taking no for an answer – she does not care if they are related, she wants to keep doing it with Bill, her distant relative. Bill wants none of it and he puts his vampire glamour on her, causing her to run screaming from the room.
Sookie is comforting Eric in bed, telling him he just had a bad dream, he’s not an evil vampire. He’s been crying and he lays his head in her lap as she strokes his hair. She says he can stay in her bed if he keeps his hands and his fangs to himself.
Pam shows up in Bill’s office with her seriously messed-up face. She wants to kill the witch who is cursing the vampires but Bill says no – they are forbidden from committing any vampire on human violence. Lafayette and Jesus head to Mexico while Tara plans to go back to New Orleans to escape all these vengeful vampires.
Sookie asks Holly about her wiccan circle and then proceeds to read her mind to find out who they are. Jason laments to Hoyt that everything bad that has happened to him has been because of sex. He tells him how he was raped by over two dozen women and when Jason hears that there’s a full moon tomorrow, he’s quite concerned.
Sookie goes to Marnie’s shop and asks for a reading. Sookie’s Gran comes through, telling her to take care of Jason. Her Gran says not to fall in love with the man who is temporarily in her life. She also tells her to run from Marnie, that she is evil.
Tommy goes to Sam for help with the dead bodies. They are leaving to get rid of them when Andy pulls their van over. He’s high on vampire blood and he demands that Sam open the back. When it opens, Tommy in alligator form lunges at Andy and he backs off and lets Sam go. The two of them continue on to the swamp to dispose of the bodies.
Bill kidnaps Marnie and puts her in a cell. She has a vision of olden times where the powerful witch from the past is in a cell with other women and three priests come in and take one woman away from the others. As two of the priests hold her down, the fangs drop on the third priest and that’s when you see the priests are vampires.
Bill talks to Marnie in her cell via a video feed. Bill says a vampire friend of his has disappeared and he wants to know what happened. Marnie sticks to her story that she knows nothing about how the vampires are being cursed. Bill goes to physically visit Marnie and glamours her into answering him. She tells the same story again. Pam is pissed – there’s going to be no quick cure for her disintegrating face.
Eric talks to Sookie about his past behavior and she tells him that in her heart, she knows he can change. He walks away from the house and she comes after him, telling him not to go. They embrace and kiss and it’s hot, hot, hot.
Pam screws up and says the witch erased Eric’s memory and Bill goes ballistic. How does Pam know that Eric’s memory is erased? He forces her to tell him where Eric is and this week’s True Blood ends with Bill racing off to Sookie’s house to find his nemesis. I hope he finds them in bed together.
