In True Blood Episode 9 titled “Plaisir D’Amour” (which stands for The Joys of Love) Sookie identifies the vampire that’s been stealing from Eric, a friend of mine for many years. The vampire in question, Long Shadow, attacks Sookie to silence her. Long Shadow is not a vampire that I’m familiar with but I do know he’s been working as Eric’s bartender for a few years at Fangtasia. The fact that he attacked Sookie in front of Bill shows his ignorance of the power of a’mour. However, Bill will have to pay a huge price for staking him in order to save a human.

Jason and that horrible human Amy Burley have captured Eddie. Yes, I have my eye on Amy Burley. She’s done this before and was unfortunately never properly dealt with. I predict an early “retirement” for that one. Fortunately Jason shows Eddie some compassion.

Tara decides to visit Miss Jeanette, the witch doctor responsible for “curing” her mother of her alcoholism. I could have taken care of that problem for her. After one hour with me her mother would never again crave alcohol. Of course she’d simply be trading one vice for another. However, type O doesn’t cost any money and it’s readily available.

Sookie takes in a stray dog who I believe is actually Sam Merlotte. I love shape shifters. They’re usually good natured and most of them understand their pecking order place beneath us, superior beings.

Enough for now. My thirst calls me. We’ll chat again soon.

In True Blood Episode 9 titled “Plaisir D’Amour” (The Joys of Love for you Americans) Sookie learns that it’s sometimes best to keep her mouth shut. I do love her blood-covered look however - it’s quite becoming on her!

Get the Charlaine Harris books that started it all!

Eric Northman

Eric Northman:

Tall, blond, and broad shouldered, Eric and I spent many intense nights together during my time in Scandanavia. Eric has a calculating mind that serves him well in his businesses. His heart is not easily given although many human females would gladly provide theirs as well as other parts of their bodies.

A few years ago Eric set up an establishment for attracting humans interested in observing our kind. He called it Fangtasia. Unfortunately tasting is not allowed on the premises but there are other amusements to be had. Eric is making a considerable sum of money from the place and my recent visit explains why. Humans pay money just to enter the place. They also pay to be photographed with those of our kind. Although many of my associates would be disgusted by the groveling displayed there I found it to be just another example of the human spirit coveting that which they are not. We are stronger and faster than humans and they aspire to be like us. Such is the reason our blood is so revered and sought after.

I predict Eric will do well with his business in Shreveport.
