A Blood Seduction by Pamela PalmerA Blood Seduction: A Vamp City Novel by Pamela Palmer

Pamela Palmer kicks off a new urban fantasy series centering around vampires with A Blood Seduction. Quinn Lennox has magical powers but doesn’t know it, until she and her brother stumble onto Vamp City, an alternate reality superimposed on Washington D.C. where vampires rule, and humans are the bottom of the food chain. The Vamp City vampires are amoral and quite feral – it’s not a good place for any human to be. Quinn’s separated from her brother in Vamp City, and is desperate to find him – if she can only get away from Arturo Mazza. Arturo’s a vampire, and he’s incredibly drawn to her. In Palmer’s world, vampires don’t just feed on blood, they also feed on fear, and while Arturo wants nothing more than to sleep with Quinn, he also needs to frighten her so he can feed on her terror. He soon realizes that Quinn is no ordinary human, but is a sorceress with powers that can renew the magic of Vamp City. Arturo then betrays Quinn and hands her over to his master, Cristoff. Quinn then has to decide between her growing attraction for Arturo, escape, and rescuing her brother.

Retribution by Sherrilyn KenyonTitle: Retribution (Dark Hunter series)
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Pages: 384
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Retribution is Sherrilyn Kenyon’s latest addition to her Dark Hunter universe, and is a little bit different from her earlier books in that Kenyon introduces some Native American mythology. Our heroine, Abigail Yager, is an orphan who was raised by vampires. She’s made it her life mission to kill the Dark Hunters who’ve been slowly snuffing out her adoptive race, and more specifically to wreak vengeance on the Dark Hunter Jess “Sundown” Brady, who brutally murdered her family. Ex-gungslinger Jess has been given a mission – to hunt down and kill whoever’s been taking out Dark Hunters. When he finally catches up with Abigail, he’s stunned to find out that it’s a human who’s been killing Dark Hunters… and what’s more, the human looks just like the woman who killed Jess years ago, before he was turned into a Dark Hunter by Artemis. Jess knows he didn’t kill Abigail’s family, and he has to convince her that he’s innocent, while working with her to avert a disaster that she set in motion when she inadvertently killed a god in the Native American pantheon.

He was turned into a vampire against his will, and has as a result lost all his friends and family. For almost a century, Roland’s lived in the dark, skulking in the shadows, isolating himself and trying to fight his bloodlust. That becomes difficult when Karissa is thrust upon him. Karissa has numerous supernaturals after her, and needs a safe place to stay. Despite his better judgment, Roland is drawn to her, and no wonder. Karrisa’s the last female Paladin, and every male Paladin wants to claim her. Karissa has to overcome her initial fear of vampires (who she thinks are evil), while Roland has to come to terms with his fear of his vampire side hurting her. Genre: Vampire Romance

Darker After Midnight is the latest book in Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed series, and pulls together many of the hanging threads from the previous nine of so novels. She’s there to identify Chase as the culprit in an attempted murder on arch villain Dragos (who goes as Drake Masters in the human world) at the party thrown by her boss, a U.S. Senator. Tavia’s life is turned upside down when her world and Chase’s collide, and she discovers things about herself that she would never have suspected.
